Location: Along Manchester Avenue to El Camino Real, then along Escondido Creek to Olivenhain.
Project involves rehabilitation of or replacement of 54 manholes along the Olivenhain Trunk Sewer, and replacing approximately 2,500 feet of sewer line at the upstream end of the Olivenhain Trunk Sewer and moving it out of Escondido Creek and onto City streets.
Project is currently going through environmental process which will take up to 3 years to complete. City has regular meetings with federal and State regulatory groups including San Elijo Lagoon Conservancy, US Fish and Wildlife Service, California Department of Fish and Wildlife, California Coastal Commission, California State Water Resources Control Board, the US Army Corps of Engineers, and the County of San Diego. Construction estimated costs have not yet been determined.
